Today Váci street is one of Budapest's main pedestrian and most famous streets with several restaurants, bank offices, cafés, bars, souvenir- and bookshops. Among the retailers located here are:
At the north end of the street the always bustling Vörösmarty square with the wonderful old-fashioned Gerbeaud café can be found. At the centre of the square facing west is a large statue of poet Mihály Vörösmarty. Behind the monument a small fenced park can be found and a fountain flanked by stone lions.
